Good Felowship

Don't you know that Filipinos are considered one of the most happy person in this World? Yes, they are, because in every circumstances and challenges that may come in their lives, they don't forget to burst their sweetest smile. That is one of the best traits or values of Filipinos. That is why , they are ideal working abroad. The chores are done due time and do some chores without being told so.

When the month of November comes. The Ilocos Sur National High School Celebrates the Filipino Values Month celebration in cooperation with the Values Club. Different Extra Curricular Activities were held and those activities were sponsored by the theme " Magandang Pagsasamahan tungo sa maayos at maunlad na lipunan".

This theme portrays a big lesson. Truly, values are learned everywhere. It maybe in friends, community, school but much important is the family. The family is responsible in giving descipline to a child. The family is the number one who acts as model to their offspring. They are the ones who guide the child so that he would take the right path and prevent trouble. Progress is very important to a country. But its useless without good fellowship. They say that children are the key to the future but without their parents guide , it wont happen. All of us must have unity. Stop all those in pleasant activities. Come and lets have one goal.

Good felowship and unity is important to build a strong Republic!

Break,.

The 2nd to the last semester of my high school life is over and I am now step closer to my graduation. High School really is the best chapter of schooling. Here, you'll learn many things. You'll have your first crushes and first love. Time truly runs so fast and I am hoping that there will still be like a "high school" for my next chapter to tackle. .

The days before our semestral break was so heavy and hectic. We had so many projects to make and lessons to rush due to some disturbances just like extra-curricular activities. On the week scheduled for our quarterly examinations, a strong typhoon headed to our country, and because of that, classes were cancelled for 2 days. We students thought that there will again be no more semestral break just like last year. But luckily there was .

The only thing I wanted to do when our semestral break commenced was to sleep and get some energy. And that's the reason why I did not joined the 1st Raniag: Vigan City Twilight Festival. My classmates kept on convincing me to join the said festival but I stood strong on my decision not to join it.

For me, The most significant day that happened in my semestral break was when I, together with my aunt went to Baguio and have a visit. We went to its tourist destinations just like the Mines view park, Mansion house, Our lady of Lourdes grotto and many more. I had so much fun when i went there and I remembered the days when we where there for the national leadership training held at the teachers camp, Baguio City. The next day and we were home. October 30 2010. The said festival happened, and i went to watch my classmates compete. All the contestants where very good and very creative. At first, I was afraid to keep close to Mr. Rabaca because i did not joined the group, he even bumped me when I was watching the street dancing. But it's just okay. I know that he's just joking me. Even though, my classmates didn't won. I'm still proud of them, imagine, they could make a such awesome performance like that in two days and the only inadequate were lights.

Let us not forget the all souls day and the all saints day. For us Filipinos, It is the day of visiting or dead beloved ones at the cemetery and offer some prayers and light some candles for them. I was happy on this day because we as family were complete together.

That was my semestral break. A Semestral break full of happinnes and memories. :)

BREAKING BARRIERS THROUGH ENGLISH

In this world, language is very useful and important. It is used as a medium of instruction for us to express our own ideas for the betterment of a situation. This world is composed of various languages just like French, Italian, Japanese and more. But there is one language that is known and used for communication whether you are in different cultures. And that is the English Language.

English proficiency leads a more dynamic and more efficient way of living because you can navigate everywhere with no problem in understanding ones culture. Education is the first thing for an individual to do, for him to attain an English proficiency. But there is one factor that stop children or humans to attain it, and that is poverty.

Breaking barriers through English. English have done so many things that made people's life endure. Through this, people have done things to develop our country. People have known what is happening in their locality, national and international through tabloids, newspapers, media coverages and magazines that are written through English. And thats why, English has the power to break barriers and stop those evil things that wont let people reach happiness, freedom and democracy.

Let us all hold on together in enriching our English proficiency. English could lead to superior living and superior thinking. So let us read books and know more so that our mind would develop and break barriers. No one could defray us if we are good. No one could let us fall if there is something in our mind . And a country will get stronger if leaders know even greater! English is very important! English takes the TOP!

Innovation to success

Innovation leads to global competitiveness among people in this dynamic world. But innovation is just useless without the presence of science and technology.

Of course! Without science and technology there will be no inventions and discoveries that would uplift the state of living, of this developing world. Science and technology is one of the most important thing, to make this world keep moving. From the food we eat, from the clothes we wear, from the air we breath and from everything, living or non-living, there is science and technology. And innovation takes place among all things made by science.

In accordance to the theme of the science month celebration which is "Filipinnovation: the way forward". The Science club launched different activities in celebration of the said event. But what does this mean? What does this phrase wants to address to people, as much as the Filipinos? The theme is very self explanatory that goes like this, "innovating Filipinos is the way forward for a better nation". In this country, Philippines, it really needs a cure and help for us to reach the castles in the sky. But there are so many factors that clog the flow of success. And one of this is corruption especially to government officials. They really need an innovation for them not to continue or do such thing that would stop the way to comfort living. And if only this would be attained , Innovative Philippines would be obtained.

Living legacies

"Teachers open the door, children enter by their own"

Teachers play the biggest role in this community. Without them, there will be no engineers, doctors, architects and even presidents of a country. In the sense that, they are the backbone of reaching ones success and improvement. They are the one who open our minds to superior thinking. And in conclusion, teaching is the noblest of all profession. In my 15 years of existence, by this time, I know how to read, how to right, to express myself and much as all, I know the things that I will do for the betterment of my future. Hard work, persistence, knowledge and God fearing would be the best adjective or description for a teacher. From my ABC's to my Trigonometries, from my English to be furnished, from my Biology to Chemistry. Teachers are the ones who taught me all of these. I cant think no more adjective that can describe all of you my dear teachers. All of you are living legacies. You make this world keep moving.

Dear teachers, thank you for all the knowledge and ideas you bestowed on us. Let us hold on together to develop global competitiveness and after all, we are all ready to face the world. Thank you teachers!

Busy! Busy!

Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana.

It was been 2 months that I have just entered the last chapter of my high school life which is the senior year. There were lots of new subjects that made me interested. And those are, Advance physics, Advance chemistry and mush as all, the ICT or the Information and communication technology which would introduce to us more about the things that revolve around the network.

Since i was just a grade 4 student, I have already a background information about the internet. And because of that, it was not hard for me to understand things about surfing the net. On this first quarter of studying, I have learned the history on how the internet began. This was first used in the Federal Army of the United states of America. But as time passes by, many countries have connected and the Philippines was officially get wired in 1994. Internet plays a big role in our society right now, it is used on searching facts and ideas to researchers, make easy communication just like the electronic mail and many more.

Our teacher said that our curriculum for the ICT education will be all about blogs, blogs, blogs. And that thing made me so excited and really caught my attention. You know why? It is because I have been hungry for discovering new ways of expressing my ideas through internet and blogging answered my starving.

On this quarter, I had no problems about my ICT subject but in other subjects, there was. And that is the Investigatory Project. All of us in our were rushing all our requirements because of that IP. I experienced sleepless nights and busy days. We researchers in our IP also needed to go home late just for that Ip and we have asked our ICT teacher that what if we will pass our project next week because there were lots and lots of other projects to make. Luckily, our teacher granted our wish! Thank you to Mrs. Evelyn Vera Cruz!!! :)

In order for me to make all of these requirements, i made my myself strong and positive thinking! and because of that it lead me to success. Moving on, i would make my projects earlier so that next time i will no longer have sleep less nights and for me to have a lotted time to review for our periodical test! Good Luck!

BUWAN NG WIKA

"SA PANGANGALAGA NG WIKA AT KALIKASAN, WAGAS NA PAGMAMAHAL TALAGANG KAILANGAN"

There are lots of languages in this little world. A thousand, perhaps. A language sets a great responsibility for us to communicate with each other and tell to anyone , what our feelings are. Without this, there will be no discussions and imagine, what would be this world without a medium of instruction.

In celebration for the "Buwan ng Wika" here in the Philippines, Filipinos must know how to care and know to value our own language.

In accordance to the theme, preserving mother nature is everyones duty. But how would it happen in connection with our language ? Nature gives us the things that we need like shelter, food and everything. Our life would discontinue without nature. And all of us depend on it. By this time, mother nature needs a great therapy, because of people who are not educated enough off what would happen if they cut trees and pollute our surroundings. Due to these, many tragedic moments happened that killed the lives of innocent people just like flash-floods, soil erosion and global warming. Just like our Philippine language, all of us must use this to show that we are proud of it and we are proud to be Filipino. In this 21st century, technology had began far enough to technologically improve people's way of living. One of the technologies is the cellular phone, this little gadget had influenced people especially teenagers here in the philippines. Because of that, a so called jejemon had banged in the newspapers, television news and adds.
As we all know, jejemon is contradictory of using our language right. And this is a shame to our national hero saying that "ang hindi magmahal ng sariling wika ay mas malansa pa sa isang isda".

All of us must take the risk and responsibility to take good care for our nature and language so that the next generation would also cherish the fruits of God that have given us.

NUTRITION MONTH CELEBRATION

"Eating healthy gives the right weight for baby".

Being healthy plays an important role in our lives. We can not live without good health. We can not do our tasks without it. And without this, the next generation, maybe, will have no more healthy living. In order to be healthy , we must consider good diet. In the sense that, we must consume nutritious food, like fruits and green leafy vegetables. We need these for us to have strong body resistance against viruses like A(h1n1) that can lead to mortality. Eating nutritious foods is not the only thing that concerns. Good exercise must also take place . Having a daily exercise gives a good body posture and good body ability. Without exercise, muscles, joints and bones won't function well. And this results to poor performance.

For women experiencing maternity. Good healthy diet must undergo so that her baby would have the right weight and would be healthy. Giving good nutrition to yourself will give your offspring the freedom from sickness or disabilities. Children are the key to our future, therefore, mothers has a big responsibility in nurturing their children

But all of these impressions changed when i heard you speak on your press-conference on the day of your proclamation.
